In their new memoir, The Boys, Ron Howard (The Andy Griffith Show, Happy Days) and Clint Howard (Gentle Ben, Star Trek) delve into their lives as kid actors in Hollywood in the 60s and 70s and how their personal life choices impacted their lives as adults. The memoir does an excellent job exploring their childhood experiences on and off set. Each brother is given a chance to provide their personal perspective on various personal and professional situations.
The book also serves as a heartfelt tribute to their parents, Rance and Jean, who selflessly sacrificed their own acting ambitions to ensure their sons got acting opportunities that have made them a part of pop culture for six decades.
The Boys is a wonderful memoir that I highly recommend for Ron Howard and Clint Howard fans and people interested in Hollywood history through the eyes of two popular child actors.
