An excellent compilation of short stories by the master of horror, Stephen King, Skeleton Crew is a collection of his early works, each as unique and intriguing as his novels.
The most familiar to readers will be “The Mist,” which was adapted into a movie, but many other stories in this collection would be worthy of adaptation to the big or small screen.
You’ll also revisit some familiar places and a character or two that have appeared in King’s novels.
King’s intro and his notes at the end are worth reading. The notes explain the origins of many of the stories in Skeleton Crew and show you that inspiration for creativity can come from just about anywhere, anyone, or anything.
If you are a King fan, I highly recommend Skeleton Crew.
