Another superb King novel filled with suspense, gore, and page-turning terror. There were points where I could not put the book down; I was so engaged in the story and the main character’s horrific circumstances.
Married couple Jessica and Gerald Burlingame head off to a secluded cabin in Portland, Maine, for a romantic weekend. Gerald decides to spice things up a bit and handcuffs his wife to the bed, only to have a heart attack and die, leaving her stuck and vulnerable.
Trapped alone with only her mind and her dead husband, Jessica begins to hallucinate. But are they all hallucinations, or is something else happening in and around the cabin?
Definitely one of my top five King novels, Gerald’s Game is a must-read for any King fan.
