Fairy Tale, a unique reading experience by Stephen King, crafts an engaging fish-out-of-water story that draws you in and keeps the reader guessing. It’s a departure from the typical horror-based formula that King is known for.

A story set in two significantly different worlds, Fairy Tale is told through the eyes of a young man named Charlie Reade, whose life in the real world has been filled with tragedy and heartache from a young age. In his town, there is a mysterious house where a mysterious old man lives with his dog.  A chance encounter leads Charlie to the old man’s aide, which results in Charlie going on an adventure he never would have predicted.

King, as always, delivers a solid and entertaining story with compelling characters, colorful locations, and his unique brand of twisted humor.  Charlie’s adventures make him an engaging protagonist, and his opinions and perspectives add a lot of flavor to what he’s experiencing.

And like most King novels, it’s hard to put it down once you get into the heart of the story.

I really enjoyed Stephen King’s Fairy Tale. If you’re not into King’s typical horror-style books, this is a good one to check out.
