IAN: Hi, this is Ian. I wanted to talk today about creative inspiration. The inspiration for stories is all around us, and as writers, it’s important to keep our eyes and ears open at all times so we can experience new things and events that might have the potential to become a story one day.
From a funny story told by a co-worker, your frustrating experience at a self-checkout, or a snippet of a news story you’ve read, the flashpoints for ideas that can inspire your next novel, screenplay, poem, or short story are everywhere.
Take the time to write down things that happen to you or others. They might just be the inspiration you need for your next creative project.
Happy writing, and I’ll talk to you next time!
